Christy Grettenberger Welcome! I am a microbial ecologist, biogeochemist, and post doctoral researcher at UC Davis. I am interested in the interplay between microbes and their environment on short and long time scales. Specifically, I examine how microbes can clean up mining waste in our modern world, and how photosyntheis and aerobic respiration altered Earth's surface environment and thus the evolutionary trajectory of life on Earth.
